Healthcare

صحت

For a family living close to the margin, seeing a doctor is a financial decision before it is a medical one. Illness gets waited out. Our healthcare work exists to shorten that wait — to make basic consultation, diagnosis and medicine reachable before a manageable condition becomes a crisis.

What this programme covers

  • General consultation and diagnosis
  • Essential medicines
  • Maternal and child health
  • Community health camps
  • Referral support for serious conditions

Approach

Care that people can actually reach

Distance and lost wages keep people away from treatment as effectively as fees do. Bringing consultation into the neighbourhood removes the day of travel and the day of income that a hospital visit costs a daily-wage household.

Mothers and young children first

Maternal and early childhood health shapes everything that follows it. Antenatal checks, immunisation and nutrition guidance are the interventions where consistent, unglamorous attention changes outcomes most.

Knowing when to refer

Community-level care has limits, and pretending otherwise is dangerous. Where a condition needs a hospital, our role is to identify it early and help the family navigate a referral rather than treat beyond our competence.

Scope

What this programme does not do

Healthcare work at community level cannot replace a functioning public system, and we do not present it as though it could. Where a household needs something beyond what this programme covers, our role is to say so and help them reach the service that can.

Specific project names, locations and figures for this programme will be published on the Impact page once they have been confirmed from our own records.

Support our healthcare work

Donations can be directed to healthcare specifically, or left general so they can go where the need is greatest that month.
